Greek Blogger Books

While book browsing at a large bookstore, I came across a shelf of books by Greek bloggers. Leafing through them, I imagined how happy these writers must feel to see their blog posts printed in form of a book, reaching out to readers beyond their web audience.

I'm afraid that by the time any publisher finds my humble blog appealing, the novelty of bloggers' books will have worn off and become very banal, losing me my chance to claim my own personal ISBN. [dammit!]

So... I'm thinking my blog could be transferred to a more innovative, catchier art form.
I'm thinking: Flubberwinkle. The Musical.
Flubberwinkle. The Musical.
Andrew (as in Lloyd Weber), call me. We'll do lunch and kick some ideas around.

[Same text in Greek]

[gamoto!]

Περιμένω τηλεφώνημα από τον Ανδρίκο (λέγε με "Cats"-νιάου και "Phantom of the Opera"-μπού!)

Nah Nuntius,

I'm sure Miss Winkle will let us have our front row tickets at "mates rates" so you can afford to do both.

So who'll be playing you Flubby?

Nuntius, go see Superstar, it'll be a while until my show goes from Broadway to touring Europe.
:-)

Hold on, EllasDevil, I'm on the phone -negotiating- with Monica Bellucci. She refuses to put on weight and wrinkles for the role! Mon Dieu, how unprofessional.

You bet DD!
Glad you volunteered, I was worried we'd have to go through our "agents" for casting.
I'm sooooo L.A., aren't I?

I think a musical is a great idea!

But...you can get a book deal as a blogger (at least in the U.S.) if you cook every day and post recipes or if you are single living in a big city posting about your exploits.

Charles Bukowski would never get published in today's world.

Melusina, Recipes, eh?
Hmmm, not a bad idea. I'd have to come up with something unconventional however, to compete with all those cook books out there.
What if I started an f_is_for_food.blogspot.com? e.g.
Flubberwinkle fricassee
Flubberwinkle fudge
Flubberwinkle fruitcake
Flubberwinklle fritters...
:-D

I don't know if there are enough f foods out there!

I like the idea of Flubberwinkle the Musical. I hope there's lots of booty shaking and cute hairdressers involved.

V, Hairdressers are a MUST in my musical. And I'm hoping Nathan Lane's available.
