The most haunting incident of this infernal nightmare, that obliterated people and vast swaths of forests, fields and livelihoods, keeps bringing tears to my eyes.
No, my immediate family and I weren't in immediate danger this time (unlike June), but my grandmother, uncles and aunts living in Peloponnese lived through the horror of these fires and lost their livelihoods (mainly olive tree groves). This is one of those national catastrophes that will take years and years to heal.
Thanks for asking. I hope you're doing good and keeping well.

That makes me sad also.
Are you in any danger?
Miss you.

What a tragedy for your country, your family, and the world.
